Simple Systems operates Wandermate. This policy explains how Wandermate handles information when you use the app and this website. Last updated October 16, 2026.
What Wandermate uses
We process account and profile details, trip and guide preferences, downloaded city packs, and walk activity needed to run the service. During an active guide walk, the app uses location to adapt the guide. It stores derived guide events rather than a persistent raw GPS trail.
Your guide and AI
Supabase provides account and backend services. OpenAI processes the area you are exploring, relevant guide preferences, and recent conversation to research and generate your guide. Optional voice and photo requests are also processed by OpenAI. Device and platform location services may process precise fixes to resolve place names. Wandermate’s guide API and OpenAI receive the resolved place or area rather than GPS coordinates, and Wandermate does not retain a raw GPS trail. Public research evidence may be cached for reuse. Private questions and conversation are excluded from that shared research cache.
Walk history and sharing
Your walk thread is kept on the device where it was created. Synced recaps preserve public guide stories and their sources. A shared recap includes only the moments and suggestions shown in its preview; it excludes your questions, photos, recordings, route, feedback, and private preferences. You choose its audience and can revoke sharing in the app.
Voice, photos, and questions
Voice recordings, photos, and typed questions are optional. When you choose to send them, we process them to answer your guide request and operate the service. We use service providers to deliver these features and protect the information with access controls appropriate to the service.
Your choices
You can manage guide preferences in the app and request account deletion through the verified flow described at Delete account. Contact hello@simplesystems.top to ask about your information.
